Hi Tim -

Just read the article on this project in American Photo. It was interesting to learn that there are only six 20×24 cameras with three being in the U.S. and the film has not been produced in three years! Wow. Congrats.

I have used the equipment that Will Dunniway has in Corona CA. He has a ton of cameras and lenses. I would love to get into it more, but as you know it has a mind of it’s own! His workshop was excellent and he is a great resource for this lost art.

Nice work! What equipment are you using?

I have finally gotten mobile with the wet plate collodion, and took everything to Twain Fest a couple weeks ago. Fun–but very challenging.

I had the wonderful opportunity to meet Mr. Grannis about 7 years ago. A talented and heartwarming man, incredibly gracious and he absolutely loved what he did in life. We will miss his spirit! I have a few of his prints that I will cherish forever! When I see them, they always make me think of our chance meeting.
Thank you for your images of him in his final days.

Great images. Inspiring, as always. I think it’s interesting that Easton (it’s funny because I am wearing an Easton mock turtleneck right now) had you do the entire production. I would imagine that this isn’t common, especially from a larger company such as Easton. A tribute to your all-around skills.
